Friday Encouragement
Jesus said He came to give us ABUNDANT LIFE. When we let Him speak, we find that life. Here are a few reflections that have come out of my time with Him recently.
TRANSCRIPT:
Hey guys, I feel like I've got a word for people who have dreams in their hearts today. This word flowed out of my time thinking about dreams I have now and times in the past where I've maybe had a dream that didn't get fulfilled
Wisdom is really a shortcut to success. Wisdom is way to learn without having to experience a lot of things. I want to share this with you because maybe you have a dream. And you don't have to wait till you're 47 to learn this lesson.
Here's what the Lord shared with me:
Don't say what you want to do, or what you dream. Do it. Don't wait for others to make your dream come true. Start making it happen in sync with the Holy Spirit.
The action you take will attract others to the cause. The action you take will not only reveal what's in your heart, it will refine what God has planted there. You will not discover it by sitting, waiting and constantly turning it over in your mind just as a baby doesn't learn to walk or talk by cogitation, but by experimentation.
Have enough faith in the Lord to believe that if he planted this desire in you, He can bring it to fruition only abide remain and make his presence and peace, your compass. This word has so much in it for you.
My desire my prayer for you is that you would be someone who knows that the Father loves you that he has planted dreams and desires in your heart. And what I would just encourage you to do is don't wait for everything to come together to so that the fullness of the dream can be realized with one step.
Start taking baby steps now start taking little steps into the things that God's put in your heart. And as you begin stepping out, you'll begin refining things. As you begin stepping out, you'll begin seeing new solutions. And as you begin stepping out there you will find is this, that there are other people who are inspired by the dream that God has put in your heart. And those are the very people who will also then come alongside you and help you step into fulfilling that dream. God bless you guys.
TRANSCRIPT:
Hey guys hope you're doing well. This morning in my devotions I was reading in Psalm 4 “…but know that the Lord has set apart for himself him who is godly the Lord will hear when I call to him.”
I have come to realize in life that the the most important thing as a Christian that you can understand is, who God is and who you are, and to really grasp and hold on to your identity.
If you're a believer in Jesus Christ than in Jesus Christ, you are the one that the psalmist is talking about here. David says, “but know.” In other words, you need to be convinced of this. This needs to be part of who you are. It's something you want to confess over yourself as often as possible, know that the Lord has set apart for himself.
“Him who is godly in spirit.” You have been made perfect, you are seated with Christ in God all the fullness of who Jesus is, that is true of you, as a Christian and knowing that radically changes the way that you understand yourself.
I think so many of us we get caught up in fear and worry about who God is and how He sees us. I know I live for a lot of my life with just a sense of God being displeased with me but when I when I came to understand what the cross is really all about the Jesus paid it all that means all. When Jesus said “It is finished,” that means it is finished and that is how the Father sees us.
We are special. You are special to him. He loves you this morning. He is for you. He is thinking about you today. The creator of the universe has set me apart. He knows where I am. I belong to Him.
“The Lord will hear when I call to him,” say that to yourself. The Lord hears the Lord hears me when I call out to him. He's concerned about what you think he's concerned about what your what's going on in your life.
I just want to encourage you to live in the fullness of who you are in Christ today. Don't let the enemy steal your identity. Don't let circumstances steal your identity don't even let your own mistakes, screw ups, failures, defining your identity. All we have to do is turn back to repent. Repent just means change your mind. Jesus paid it all for us. We belong to the Father and He has set us apart and he hears us when we come to Him.
Great encouragement to step out in see some results instead of just waiting. It's easier to steer a moving vehicle.
